MikroTik: Daily Bandwidth Quota on LTE using MikroTik
Utilize MikroTik products to enforce bandwidth quotas and limit LTE usage effectively.
Description
In many parts of the world, high-speed internet access remains unavailable due to a lack of terrestrial infrastructure, such as DSL, cable modem, or fiber options. Despite this, 3G/4G coverage is widely accessible, leading most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in these regions to offer internet services through LTE technology.
However, a common issue with LTE services is the imposition of monthly bandwidth limits. Once these limits are reached, customers often face additional charges. This can be problematic, especially since customers typically have little control over their bandwidth usage.
To address this challenge, we have developed a course tailored for ISPs that provide LTE solutions. This course focuses on integrating MikroTik products to manage bandwidth more effectively. By implementing daily quotas for customers, ISPs can better control usage. Once a quota is reached, the course will guide ISPs on how to either temporarily suspend service for the remainder of the day or significantly reduce bandwidth.
This course includes step-by-step instructions, complete with practical lab exercises, enabling you to apply these solutions effectively for your customers. We will demonstrate how to use scripts that automatically operate on MikroTik routers, executing predefined actions when a customer reaches their daily data limit.
