MikroTik: VRRP on MikroTik with Load Balancing & Failover
Description
VRRP is a crucial protocol for implementing failover in network gateways. It ensures that if one router fails, a second router becomes operational, maintaining continuous internet service for LAN users.
MikroTik RouterOS supports the VRRP protocol, but configuring VRRP can be challenging. Therefore, we've created this course to thoroughly cover VRRP on MikroTik RouterOS.
This course is heavily lab-based, so I recommend having some MikroTik routers available, or, ideally, using GNS3 with CHR images.
In this course, we will cover the following VRRP topics:
- Understand what VRRP is
- Configuring VRRP Basics
- Configuring VRRP on VLANS
- Configuring load balancing on VRRP
- Having VRRP failover when the internet connection stops
If you aim to become proficient in configuring the VRRP protocol on MikroTik RouterOS, we recommend taking this course. By the end of the program, you will have a comprehensive understanding of how to configure VRRP correctly on MikroTik RouterOS.
